This information is intended for professors and instructors of German and administrators in German or language departments.

Every fall you will receive information about the Werkstudentenprogramm for the following year. Please distribute it widely to let as many students as possible know about this great opportunity. If you have a web page you may add a link to the WSP web site (http://www.cautg-wsp.org). We can provide you with a small text about the program as well.

Please direct all interested students to our web page where they can find useful information and all application forms they need to apply for the program. All applications must be directed through the person responsible for German at their academic institution.

Apart from doing the mandatory German test (Bescheinigung über Deutschkenntisse), every student will need a letter of recommendation written by a professor. We would appreciate it if you could then rank your students or comment on them to let us know who is most suitable for the program (not necessarily the student with the best marks) and whose command of German is best. Please enclose these tests and letters of recommendation in a sealed envelope with the students’ applications.

The deadline for sending in applications is January 15 of each year. Please set your own deadline at your university/ college earlier so that you have enough time to send all forms to us in time. Usually department deadlines are in the first week of January. Late applications can only be considered in rare circumstances.
